CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER 1 - OFFENSE

Cybersecurity Engineer 1 – Offense

Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview):

Bow Wave is actively hiring for IT security experts looking for a career in offensive cyber. This position will be ideal for a candidate eager to make a difference in testing vulnerabilities and risk on US Government networks. This position offers a start in a highly-visible Homeland Security program, interacting with counterparts in other Federal, Intelligence and Defense agencies.

 What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):

• BA/BS degree

Note: the following education degrees may be substituted for years of experience:
Bachelor’s Degree = One year of experience
Master’s Degree = Two years of experience

Position Description:

Level I (2-3 years operational experience, at least one related industry certification [OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, GXPN, or equivalent]).

Proficiency at level I includes all core competencies mentioned above in addition to:

• Coordinates assessment equipment, including ensuring images on assessment equipment are up to date, equipment transport, setup and tear-down of equipment on-site, and general maintenance
• Operates assessment tools, under the direction of the Government, the IT Security Expert Level II, and NCATS Assessment Standard Operating Procedures
• Assists the IT Security Expert Level II with development of documentation and reporting for coordination of Assessment report in accordance with the appropriate report template at the direction of the Government.

• Knowledge of host identification and exploitation of vulnerabilities

LAW ENFORCEMENT ANALYST - CONTRACTED ENTRY LEVEL

FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT ANALYST (CONTRACTED)

Duties:
• Conducts various analysis to include work on immigrant benefit cases;
• Performs database and manual queries on individuals referred to the PERC by other Law Enforcement Agencies categorized as possible removable aliens;
• Conducts calls to Law Enforcement Agencies to determine the custodial status of targeted aliens;
• Answers calls from Law Enforcement Agencies;
• Logs all information into a web-based case management system;
• Provides enforcement recommendations and refers cases to an ERO Officer, ERO field offices or ICE headquarters offices for follow-up review and action; and
• Ability to utilize DHS and Legacy INS databases in the performance of assigned work.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and two years of prior analytical experience supporting a law enforcement agency; or an Associate 's Degree with three years of related experience; or five years of related experience with a High School Diploma.

Location: Pacific Enforcement Response Center (PERC), 24000 Avila Road, Room 1552, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677; on-site required, no remote.

Shifts: Standard eight-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Each shift is on a staggered schedule to ensure that work in progress is transferred efficiently to the next shift.

Clearance: Must clear Department of Homeland Security suitability screening.

Schedules: 24 hours a day, seven days per week including federal holidays.

GEOSPATIAL (GIS) SOFTWARE DEVELOPER - HUNTSVILLE, AL

GEOSPATIAL (GIS) SOFTWARE ENGINEER – FBI; HUNTSVILLE, AL

Position Description:

We are seeking a Geospatial (GIS) Software Engineer that is well rounded with the expertise to build applications and systems architecture but also regularly interface with government leadership. An ideal candidate is passionate about GIS technology, learning new things, and applying that technology to solve our Nation’s most critical challenges. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team supporting the FBI law enforcement agency, and to grow with a company that rewards hard work. This opportunity involves working directly with applications to support the FBI enterprise. You will provide hands-on software design and development expertise for multiple programming languages and system environments, collaborate with other team members, project sponsors, and government personnel to devise practical solutions to problems.

Responsibilities:
• Providing oversight of the application development tasks; monitoring cross functional team activities to achieve optimal performance and ensure quality deliverables are being provided for the client in accordance with mutually agreed upon delivery schedules;
• Working collaboratively with team members to troubleshoot, resolve and implement required changes in the development, test, staging, and production environments;
• Leading efforts to create requirements, designs, and specifications for complex or highly technical Web applications; which may require extensive research and analysis;
• Experience leading technical team implementing enterprise-wide GIS;
• Experience managing the integration of data services and ingests between record keeping systems and GIS;
• Experience managing the implementation and documentation for GIS security controls;
• Experience managing multiple production and development environments, including cloud-based and on-premises;

• Translating functional requirements into technical solutions for application development;
• Ensuring projects are developed with professional level standards for site performance, usability, scalability, browser compatibility and reliability;

• Oversee the development of required logic, algorithms and code for the applications;
• Working with users during integration testing to identify errors, fix coding errors, and implement requested changes;
• Reviewing logical data models (entity relationship, business process, and process flow;
• Building physical data models (conversion of logical models in relational database models);
• Working with database administrators to coordinate necessary changes to the database structure;
• Utilizing SDLC or Agile methodologies to ensure applications are functioning properly before production deployment;
• Working with Enterprise Cyber Security and the Systems Team to mitigate security findings, if any;
• Participating in the Change Control Board (CCB) at various levels;
• Providing status reports of bi-weekly or monthly accomplishments;
• Coordinating with the Operations Team and the Enterprise to perform mission systems maintenance during Government scheduled maintenance windows.

Requirements:
• Must have active Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 2+ years geospatial systems engineering experience
• Experience with technical development for new features related to GIS
• Experience with monitoring and maintaining GIS
• Experience with data services and ingests for GIS
• Experience documenting security controls for GIS
• Experience working in different production and development environments, including cloud-based and on-premises
• Experience with ArcGIS commercial software
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working with Agile based delivery teams
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies to ever changing problems
• Expertise in principles of object-oriented software design and programming
• Reside in the Huntsville, AL metro area or be willing to relocate

Position Description:
The successful candidate for the Geospatial (GIS) Business Analyst position requires an in-depth knowledge of industry leading Geospatial tools including the Esri desktop tool set. This position will also have some exposure and involvement in development and requirements gathering and analysis.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate for the Geospatial Business Analyst position will provide a broad range of Geospatial Support functions such as:
• Respond to various requirements for geospatial products and services
• Create geospatial analytics and products focused on critical infrastructure and resiliency
• Create maps or visualization output focused on critical infrastructure and cyber information for hazards, such as natural disasters, terrorist threats and attacks, chemical spills, radiological events, Special Security Events (SSE), bombing prevention, security analysis and reporting, and other cyber and infrastructure projects and programs.
• Provide geospatial support to troubleshoot issues with ArcGIS software
• Provide geospatial support to clean, format, and analyze issues with geospatial data
• Provide development support
• Provide requirements gathering and analyst support

Requirements:
• Must have active Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Geography/GIS or computer science related field
• Minimum of 2 years of GIS experience
• Development of Geospatial Products using Esri desktop and web-based tools
• Strong cartographic skills and visual interpretation of data
• Familiar with relational database fundamentals and concepts performing data collection, processing, analysis, modeling and exploitation.
• Ability to interpret and explain geospatial products to FBI leadership
• Understanding of visualization tools such as Esri-based web interfaces (Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online)
